Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Easton Area Community Center is an organization focused on addressing the critical needs of our community.  We are made up of individuals of all ages, from all walks of life, working side-by-side to strengthen our vision and mission. Together, we strive to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender expression, gender identity, ideology, income, national origin, race or sexual orientation has the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity.

Our vision is for every person to use their unique experiences and backgrounds, together – to spark solutions that create a better, healthier world and foster the development and well-being of our community members.

Our culture is the result of our behaviors, our personal commitment, our curiosity, how we collaborate, and the ways that we share our perspectives and encourage others to do the same.

We are committed to being an inclusive, anti-racist organization and leveraging our collective impact to address social inequities.

Diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) are not just words – they are the reason we are able to deliver on our commitment to our members  and our community. We foster a diverse workforce and organization where employees and members feel comfortable bringing their unique perspectives and participating in our programs.

But diversity and equity is only half of the story; inclusion is just as important. Inclusion means a sense of belonging. When our employees and members know they are valued and crucial to our mission, not only will they thrive, but our organization will, too and most importantly the members we serve will be inspired, connect and grow.

We strive to create and include diversity, equity, and inclusion practices at the center of our daily work.

We commit to using these practices for our organization, members and our communities.

News

We opened a New Window several years ago and now thanks to a grant for State of Pa Senior Centers we are getting ready to renovate our first floor - Stay tuned for more news!!

Thank you to Marvin Windows, Ramos Construction, DelVal Properties, Lafayette College, GDEP and the City of Easton.   Our new energy efficient windows are finally installed.  Some finishing touches are being done presently.  But now the children can see outside.

Big Easy Easton Jazz Band is a great partner who continues to provide music to after school children and teaches them how to play musical instruments

We absolutely adore Jeremy and his jazz band.  They practice at EACC and often come and perform for the children.  They also have donated musical instruments and have taught the children how to be young musicians.   Thanks Jeremy and everyone in the band.
