EACC Clubhouse After School Program

The EACC Clubhouse After School Program offers quality educational and recreational programs for children K-8th grade.

We support the needs of the students academically, socially/emotionally, and physically. We have seen an increase of need throughout the West Ward neighborhood and beyond as parents' and caregivers' resources are stretched in every way.  Many of our children come from single- parent homes where their parents are working late just to make ends meet. So, we help by making sure these children are not latch-key children, but instead have a haven to come to and get support while there to encourage and continue their school assignments in an engaging way that makes them want to grow and learn.

Our Programs:  The after-school program is modeled after the LA BEST program, the 5 Cs of Positive Youth Development, Leader in Me program,  PA Academic Core Grade Level Standards, and the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets.  All these programs are research-based programs.  A full STEAM/ STEM program helps the students with science, technology, engineering, arts and math and science.

EACC Reputation in the Community:

We have been serving the youth in our community for over 66 years. We have partnered with numerous organizations such as Penn State, Lafayette College, Easton Area School District, 4 H, YMCA, GDEP and many others on bringing innovative collaborative programs to the students.  Our reputation of helping youth in the West Ward is recognized by the city of Easton (Mayor Panto himself was a member in his youth and also on the board in the past as president) as well as Two Rivers Health and Wellness, Rotary, Lions, Lehigh Valley Community Foundation and the United Way just to mention a few.  Our staff have received numerous awards from these organizations as well as local and state and national organizations (ex. NAACP). We are often cited and recognized for the development of the youth when our youth receive scholarships (Fowler scholarship awards, Steve Curto award, etc.). One of our pillars of success is the fact that we also serve over 50,000 free meals a year  as part of our programs.

Volunteer Program:

Our staff runs the primary aspects of the program.  However, our volunteers are very important to us. Our volunteer program with Lafayette college students and Penn State college students has been in existence for decades. We are very proud of the collaboration with these young individuals who are great mentors to our youth.   In addition, we participate in the United Way Day of Caring and several other organizations, businesses and corporations Give Back Days.
