Having volunteered and served on the board of EACC for the past 2.5 years, and spent countless hours there with my three sons, I'm thrilled to be the new President and help the Saints recover from COVID. While things are back to normal with kids and activities, fewer families and companies are volunteering and supporting the Saints.

Our priorities moving forward are twofold: expanding our programs and securing more funding from local corporations and families. While EACC has been at the heart of Easton for over 70 years, our donor pool, along with our building (120 years old), is aging. With that combination, it is difficult to provide the basic programs, much less expand to have more diversified interests for our members.

I am looking to keep the momentum going with the current progress of building improvements that Kathy Presto has undertaken over the past 4 years. Which include an updated wrestling room, a resurfaced basketball court, new flooring on the main floor, and updated bathrooms on three floors. Each improvement has helped modernize the building and make it more attractive to host events.

Having said all that, while the kids are thriving here, we are still drastically short on volunteers and mentors. We are looking to increase the number of representatives serving on the board to better plan for the future, which ideally includes possible building expansion/ new construction.

It is a very exciting and yet difficult time to take on the new role. With the current team around EACC and those joining our mission of improvements and increased awareness, this will be some of our most rewarding over the next 3-4 years.

I am looking forward to meeting those of you who are thinking about getting involved. I will try to speak with all of you who have come through the center to help provide the children with all the opportunities you had or wanted to have, so we can give them every opportunity to succeed.
